A Bit About Heidi…

Heidi Guenther

My name is Heidi (Petlikau) Guenther and I live in the beautiful city of Saskatoon, in Saskatchewan, Canada, in the middle of the prairies. I am a Mom of three young men, am married and we have a sweet black lab-mix named Mitzy, who was a rescue from up north. I was born with a severe hearing loss but learned to use hearing aids and lip read (I do not use sign language) and am now profoundly deaf. With the help of a fabulous (and super powerful) hearing aid, I’ve been taking cello lessons for over seven years and am loving it. My faith in Jesus Christ is a key part of who I am, so you’ll see it reflected in many of the creative projects that I make.

I love all things art and creativity - as you’ll see on this website. :)

I have been teaching in-person art classes for years at various venues in Saskatoon, Sask (Canada) and area. Seeing people empowered and inspired to paint and create after learning new techniques is one of my favourite things. I believe that when people are supported in their artful adventures, are shown what tools/supplies to use and are given suggestions & teaching on what techniques to try - inspiration, creativity and joy quickly starts to flow. I’ve also taught art classes online through a variety of websites!

P.S. Check out “The Creative Corner” where I’ll tell you more about my creative pursuits and some art classes that I’ve taught over the years.
