Merry Christmas!

Hi everyone! I’m popping in briefly to say Merry Christmas and to give you a newsy year-end update.

I’ve been very quiet for awhile now - it’s been a challenging November and December with a lot to navigate and during the busiest retail season of the year no less! A number of things have happened but I’ll share two with the most impact.

Our youngest son hurt his leg at a trampoline place on Nov 29th. This resulted in weeks of icing his leg, elevating it, much rest and using crutches. There have been multiple ER visits, a surgeon’s appointment, physio and more. We saw some great improvement this past week but he still has a ways to go for healing. We are waiting for an MRI appointment to see if he’ll need surgery. My grandfather also passed away in December. He was 92, was married for 70 years and has lived a good life. I’m grateful that he knew Jesus and that my husband and I were able to visit with him and my grandmother in the fall when his health had been better. Our family flew to attend his funeral and that was a meaningful, special time. Even though our hearts were sad, it was also good to be surrounded by family.

I continue to work, as a private contractor, working with social media and marketing with Kennedy’s Parable, a Christian book and gift store in Saskatoon, Red Deer and Kelowna. I also taught a few art classes this year at a local Arts and Community centre called The Refinery, in Saskatoon and continue to run my website and online shop, aglimpseofjoy.ca. Our family is doing well and my husband, continues to recover from the stroke he experienced in April 2024. I very much look forward to sitting down and dreaming up some goals and plans for my art business (A Glimpse of Joy) in the new year once everything settles down. In the meantime, I’m ready to enjoy time with family and friends during the Christmas week, create some art and read some good books to give myself some much needed rest! :-)

If you’ve read this far - thank you! 💗

Thank you so much for being apart of my community here at A Glimpse of Joy. I appreciate you! I wish you a very Merry Christmas, a wonderful time with family and friends, and a very Happy New Year with joy, peace and good health in 2025.

God bless you,

Heidi

P.S. Yes! I still have plans to transfer courses over here and to create new ones. I’m cautiously hopeful that I’ll have good news to share about this by February, so stay tuned!
