Expect Miracles
It is so easy to just live our day to day with all the normal things. But in doing so, we sometimes forget to cultivate the mindset of expecting miracles or of experiencing the miraculous things of God. I was reading the Bible the other day and was reminded of this. I’ve experienced miracles and I’ve experienced the miraculous things of God - and I am so grateful for that! But over time, it can become really easy to slip into the normal life routine and forget that this mindset needs to be cultivated and stirred up regularly to be activated in our lives. This mindset can become something thrown into the back of the closet (so to speak)… out of sight and out of mind.
I felt stirred to put on this mindset once again and to ask God for miracles. This experience helped me to realize all over again that habits - especially mental habits - are worth the discipline and work to keep the habit alive and in play in our lives.
I don’t know if you believe in miracles or if you even believe in God (the Judeo-Christian God) but let this be a gentle reminder to you that our faith and our expectations are powerful things. There is far more to this world and our lives than what we can physically see and hear.
Prayer is important. Praying with the belief (not just wishful thinking) that is developed out of a connected relationship with God is even more important.
Do you need a miracle?
How can I (or those interacting with this post) pray for you today?
