I’m off on a new adventure…

I’m off on a new adventure for 2024 and one that I didn’t really expect to take.

After a few years on Kajabi with a course and online membership and digital products on Etsy, I’m feeling more than ever that I would like everything under ONE website. The call to simplify is strong. The desire to run with creating online courses is back and I’m excited about that!

What a year 2023 has been. Full of changes, challenges (hello low iron levels!), and all manner of good things too. I reconnected with my love of fiction and have been reading more. I’ve enjoyed my garden, but puttered much less in it this year. I’m still taking cello lessons. And I think I’ve been working through burnout and am finally coming out the other side (or was that part of the low iron, low energy issue? I’m not 100% sure). I’ve been contracting hours to a local business, doing their social media and email newsletters to customers (it’s been great to have a consistent paycheck and they are great to work with) so I’ve had to remember to give myself extra grace this year since I’ve had a number of goals for my art biz for 2023 that just was not able to be accomplished.

I’ve also developed a line of artwork that is being digitized and put onto products such as stickers, postcards, greeting cards and more. That has been fun! Time consuming but delightful. I am so looking forward to having product for sale in my shop on this website, bringing a long term goal of mine into reality!

At any rate, I’ve come back to Squarespace (I used to have a website here years ago) in an attempt to get all the things under one umbrella so to speak with the hope that I’ll spend more time in video-creation and artmaking in the days ahead and less time on the computer with admin work. I’m looking forward to moving forward with online content, especially after improving my video-taking set up and space. I am excited to pull together the courses that have been on my heart to create for a few years now. AND to bring back some previous courses that I always meant to continue on with at Kajabi!

And so… it is time for this new adventure for A Glimpse of Joy (my art business).

Please note, this website is www.aglimpseofjoy.ca (CA - stands for Canada), whereas my website on Kajabi is www.aglimpseofjoy.com (COM is the only difference). At some point in the near future, the Kajabi website will be dismantled and everything will get moved here.

I feel an amazing energy shift in the best of ways as I work on aglimpseofjoy.ca and look forward to sharing more on email newsletters with you all. Don’t worry, I will never spam you. I can’t handle daily emails from others and so I will never do that to you. But I’m determined to email you with relevant updates more than a few times a year, so let’s see how that goes… ha ha!
