Tea Bag Quotes
I was really delighted last month to find a brand of teas with no sulphites in it (sulphites are a common preservative) and I’m particularly enjoying the Lemon Ginger flavoured one. Each tea bag has a quote on the paper attached to the tea bag string and I’ve been collecting those quotes to see which ones I might want to use for artwork. I created this painting with watercolour and ink using one of those quotes. You can find inspiration in the most ordinary of places!

A Delightful Journal
My husband and I went on a date this past week and visited some bookstores in our city. Bookstores, gift shops and art supply stores are a few of my favourite things.
I had a gift card to use up so when we wandered around Indigo (a bookstore) I was so delighted to find this journal (see the picture below) with it’s torn pages and delightfully artsy look. I totally just gravitated towards it.

Watercolour Swatches
Are you a fan of watercolour swatching? I certainly am. Creating watercolour swatches is one of the best ways to learn about a particular colour. My favourite types of swatches allow me to see the colour from it’s most saturated to it’s least saturated.
